1.Baobab

This gift from the Tree of Life in Africa is an amazing fruit which is a powerful antioxidant and rich in Vitamin C. It is also high in fibre, calcium, potassium and a good source of thiamin and vitamin B6. You can find it as an oil but also as a powder which is my favourite. Mix this super fruit in yoghurt, milk and beverages or add to your favourite smoothies. It will give you an amazing skin, a boost in your immune system and every time you have it you will feel a kick in your energy – body and aura. Definitely recommended, used for years by our team. 2. Berries

Berries are the gifts of Pacha Mama during summer and if you like their taste like I do it is great to keep them in your diet, even in frozen form, during winter. Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries are available and you can add them to your pies, make a jam out of them or as I do have them with yoghurt, in a parfait or with ice cream. You can also add them in your smoothies or with your cereals in the morning. For the most pedantic, you can get acai or goji berries probably in a dried form and enjoy their amazing antioxidant benefits. Good skin and a great immune system. Perfect Witchy Superfoods.

3. Cinnamon

Revered by the Egyptians and included in almost all of their rituals included the famous mummification process, cinnamon was always associated with longevity and the Divine Fire which shines through us, all over our aura. Lab studies have shown that cinnamon can fight bacteria and reduce inflammation. And guess what is packed with antioxidants (my favourite word in this article). Want to know more information on the use of cinnamon in magic then read our article.

4. Pomegranate

Pomegranate was associated by the Ancient Greeks to the myth of Demeter and Persephone and linked with longevity. And for a good reason, pomegranates are full with antioxidants (again) and helps us improve muscle strength recovery after exercise, helps with weight loss and fights inflammation and fights infections. Be creative and add its seeds in your salads, your breakfast and your snacks. No wonder why we added it to our Witchy Superfoods!

5. Avocado

Good old classic! Yes I know that it is not fashion anymore but I am such an advocate of its benefits that could not be missing from my list. Avocado is a great source of monounsaturated oleic acid which helps us maintain cardiovascular health by lowering triglycerides, high in potassium that can help us reduce high blood pressure, have amazing skin with its vitamin E content and antioxidants and of course help us lose weight. Mash an avocado on toast, bake it in the oven or add it into your salads and foods. Believe the results will amaze you.

6. Golden Seal

Many people believe that Golden Seal is the cure for all. It can help us fight infections including upper respiratory tract infections such as cough, congestion, runny nose and sore throat. I have to admit that each year I combine it with echinacea and I have never had the flu for years- maybe I have just been lucky or maybe just prepared. Get it here!

7. Ginseng

Again another gift of mother nature. This plant can help us boost our immune system and ward of colds and the flu. In addition, it helps us combat fatigue and improves fatigue. As an additional benefit for men (and women as well), it has shown to help with erectile dysfunction and boost your virility! Get it here!

8. Apple Cider Vinegar

The Mother (and Father) of all Tonics! Apple cider vinegar helps against infections and will guard your immune system like Cerberus. Drinking apple cider vinegar on its own can be a bit cruel and may hurt your enamel on the long run. Instead mix it with cinnamon, honey, ginger, pepper, lemons or berries and create magical elixir for good health.

9. Honey

Another all time classic! Having a spoon of honey every day helps you maintain good health! There are plenty different varieties of honey depending on which flowers the bees gather the pollen from. Again great with antibacterial properties, gives us a good immune system boost and it has so many uses. You can use it as an ingredient in your hair and face masks or simple enjoy its magic with a nice cup of tea. Learn more about the magical properties of honey here!

10. Fish Oil

I struggle a little with the last one as I think there are some great options out there, but I think Fish Oil has been my big winner, definitely not for its taste but instead for its multiple health benefits. Where should I start? Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to have good bone health? Do you like having a glowing and elastic skin? Do you want to calm down and need a bit of help with your anxieties? You got your answers to all these questions and these are only to name a few! I can personally vouch for its effectiveness and its bad taste. It is definitely a great supplement in so many ways and this Witch wants to share the knowledge.
